Ex-President of the Georgian Football Federation Merab Jordania became president of the Dutch football club Vitesse Arnhem.

The club has recently had serious financial problems. The new leadership has set up new challenges - the Vitesse Arnhem must become the champion of the Holland in three years.

Jordania said that he purchased full stakes. "I would soon leave Tbilisi and move to Holland to lead the club," Jordania told the Georgian journalists.

Jordania said that he bought the Dutch bought for his own money. Meanwhile, the Georgian journalists say that Jordania got the money to buy the club from his good friend, English owner of Chelsea, Roman Abramovich.

The Georgian new leadership headed by President Mikheil Saakashvili made Jordania resign from his post as the Georgian Football Federation President. Jordania even ended up in prison, but after paying a sum in the procedural agreement, he was released.

Earlier Jordania owned club Dinamo Tbilisi, which, became the champion of the country during Jordania's leadership.
