The Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry dismantled posts, barriers and eliminated overlapping passages in suburban areas in the Absheron Peninsula, the Emergency Situations Ministry said today.
The Ministry's State Fire Control Service has taken measures to eliminate these barriers not to interfere with the movement and rapid maneuvering of fire engines.
The Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry also informed the public that the placing of overlaps, barriers without the relevant permit and blocking passages creates serious problems for the timely arrival of fire engines to the scene, which contributes to the spread of flame over a large territory and thereby increase the amount of damage caused by fire.
