OSCE Head, Lithuanian FM mull agenda of upcoming OSCE summit

The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Kazakhstan's Secretary of State and Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev and Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Azubalis mulled the agenda of the upcoming OSCE summit during the telephone conversation, Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesman Ilyas Omarov told Trend.

"The sides discussed the agenda for the forthcoming OSCE Summit, scheduled to be held in Astana in December, 2010 and reviewed the progress of the interaction of Astana and Vilnius in the framework of the OSCE 'Troika'," Omarov said.

The sides noted the importance of careful preparation for the forthcoming summit designed to open a new page in the history of the organization and make an important contribution to strengthening security and cooperation in the vast expanse of its responsibility.

"The ministers also exchanged views on the current status and future directions of the Kazakh-Lithuanian bilateral cooperation," Omarov said.
