Representatives of the Foreign Ministry and the Organization for the Protection of Ecology and Environment of Iran held a meeting at Foreign Ministry to investigate the issue of compliance with the Convention on the Protection of Environment of the Caspian Sea, said the deputy head of the Iranian Organization for Ecology Mohammed Bagher Nabavi, Iranian news agency Iranian FARS news agency reported.
According to Nabavi, the meeting covered the implementation of the Convention on the Protection of the Caspian environment and its additional protocols.
The meeting was attended by the Iranian president's special envoy on the status of the Caspian Sea Mohammad Mehdi Akhundzade, head of the Organization for the Protection of Ecology and Environment Mohammad Javad Muhammedzade and heads of other relevant structures.
