A delegation of the upper chamber of the Czech Parliament will hold meetings in September in Baku, a source at the Czech Embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend.
The delegation comprising of 4-5 people will be headed by the chairman of the Senate Committee on European Affairs Ludek Sefzig.

The main theme of the upcoming talks will include issues relating to the EU Eastern Partnership Program, European integration, energy projects, visa and migration.

The goal of the visit will be the exchange of experiences between Czech and Azerbaijani parliaments, developing inter-parliamentary relations, strengthening ties within the Czech-Azerbaijani inter-parliamentary friendship group, Charge d'Affaires of the Czech Republic in Azerbaijan Čeněk Heiney told Trend.

The details of the visit are still being worked out, but a series of meetings are planned with the Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Oktay Asadov, various parliamentary groups, including members of group on European affairs, which is part of Evronest (Parliamentary Assembly of "Eastern Partnership), as well as groups on economic development, legal policy, security and natural resources, etc.
It is also planned to organize meetings of the Czech delegation with the ministers or deputy ministers of foreign affairs and economic development of Azerbaijan.
