Georgian FM confirms Georgian citizen's death in Istanbul
Georgia, Tbilisi, September 1 / Trend N. Kirtskhalia /
Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze confirmed the death of a Georgian citizen in Istanbul's detention center.
"The fact was verified through the consulate. It was confirmed," she said.
"The Georgian Interior Ministry has already contacted Turkish counterparts. The investigation is underway", Kalandadze said.
The investigation is inclined to the version of suicide. But the family of the deceased said that he worked in Istanbul to earn money for his wedding. Perhaps, he was killed for robbery. Suicide is a hoax.
