FM: Georgia ready to begin talks with Russia
Georgia is ready to begin talks with Russia at any time on any issue and without any preconditions, Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze said at a briefing with his Estonian Counterpart Urmas Paet today.
"This is the difference between democratic and undemocratic countries. Russia states us that it would not engage in dialogue with the democratically elected leadership of Georgia," Vashadze said.
Replying to journalists' question that how long Georgia will need to start negotiations with Russia, Vashadze said "I think that the dialogue will begin sooner rather than later."
Urmas Pae is on two-day visit to Georgia.
