NAP intends to expand relations with China's ruling party

The relations between ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) and Communist Party of China (CPC) should be strengthened, (NAP) Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary Ali Ahmedov said at his meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zhang Yannian today.
The sides mulled the current state of the Azerbaijan-China mutual friendly relations and cooperation, as well as exchanged view on the prospects of their development.
The sides noted the importance of development of the Azerbaijan-China relations.
The meeting also mulled the upcoming parliamentary election and preparations for it in Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan kicked off its parliamentary electoral campaigns on Sept. 4.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on Sept. 3 scheduling the next parliamentary elections for Nov. 7.
Previous elections in the legislature were held in November 2005. In Azerbaijan, parliamentary elections are held on the majority system in 125 electoral districts.
