1100 people willing to run for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan have appealed to the district election commissions, the Central Election Commission said on Saturday.
Of these, 1041 have received signature lists from the CEC, while 144 have already filled in and submitted them to the CEC.
Nomination of candidates covers all 125 constituencies.
19 people withdrew their nomination.
The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
