OSCE Astana summit will cost $30 million to Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan's budget expenditures for holding the OSCE summit in Astana will amount to $30 million, Kazakh Finance Minister Bolat Zhamishev said.

"About 4.5 billion tenge ($30 million) will be allocated from the Kazakh state budget to fund activities for holding the OSCE summit in Astana in December," Zhamishev said today at the plenary session of the Senate, which was considering the amendments to the 2010 budget.

The state budget directed 31.6 billion tenge (or U.S. $ 210 million) for the completion of construction of facilities and other activities in the framework of organizing and hosting the Asian Games, he added.
