Georgia, Tbilisi, October 1 / Trend N. Kirtskhalia /

The next rally of the opponents of the new draft of constitutional amendments was held in front of the Parliament. It was organized by NGOs today.

The participants called for MPs to stop considering the draft and the majority - to hold a public debate on new changes.

Lia Mukhashavria, the head of "Priority of human rights" organization, said that it is impossible to adopt a new constitution at the second reading, because the model proposed by the authorities is not supported by people.

The public consensus has not been reached.

She said that if MPs once again support the project at the plenary session, the people will publicly assess the political biography of the parliamentarians.

It is doubtful that the bill has not been published on the website of the legislative body. If the parliament does not support the draft in the second reading, then the presented changes will be announced unsatisfactory. The need to begin discussions on an alternative project will appear.

Mukhashavria hopes that the parliamentary opposition, including MP Guram Chahvadze will not support the draft. Otherwise, she will call for Chahvadze to explain this.

The protests in connection with the new constitution are held four days running. Today, about 50 NGOs, operating both in the capital and regions, attended it.

The Women's Party, the Conservatives, "Kartuli Dasi", "Our Georgia - Free Democrats" supported the rally.
