The event "Presentation of Azerbaijan" was held in the Institute of the National Diplomatic Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina (Instituto del Servicio Exterior de la Nacion - ISEN).
The film was demonstrated in Spanish about the history and culture of Azerbaijan, Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the current socio-political situation in the country, economy, tolerance, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
After the film Azerbaijani Ambassador Mammad Ahmadzadeh delivered a lecture on "Azerbaijan's foreign policy: influences and trends". The diplomat spoke about the difficulties faced by Azerbaijan after regaining independence, the stabilization of the complex situation in the country after National Leader Heydar Aliyev came to power in 1993, the strengthening of statehood and laying the foundations of large-scale development, the successful continuation of of successful policy by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the historical path taken by the country to rise to the level of a regional leader.
The Ambassador also spoke about the impact of the Armenian occupation of Azerbaijani territories, global and regional processes on Azerbaijani foreign policy. Ahmadzadeh presented the strategic position of Azerbaijan. He spoke about rich natural resources, current global risks and threats, the uniqueness of the country where various religious and ethnic groups live side by side.
The policy conducted by the country to ensure international peace and security, bilateral and multilateral ties, cooperation with Europe and Euro-Atlantic organizations, energy strategy, the delivery of hydrocarbon resources of the Caspian Sea to the world markets were analyzed as directions of the foreign policy.
The information was provided about the dynamic development of the country, the policy conducted at the expense of revenue from the energy sector to develop regions and non-oil sector of the economy to improve the welfare and security of the future generations.
Ahmadzadeh also spoke about expanding of Azerbaijan's diplomacy and answered numerous questions of the participants.
