Lebanese classic's book translated into Azerbaijani language

The Oriental Studies Institute named after Ziya Bunyatov of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences presented a translation of the Book "Broken Wings" of the famous Lebanese classic of the 20th century, Gibran Khalil Gibran, the institute said.

The translation was performed under the editorship of Oriental Studies Institute Director Govhar Bakhshaliyeva and Ph.D. Afsana Mammadova.

Khalil Gibran also known as Kahlil Gibran, was a Lebanese American artist, poet, and writer.

He completed his story "Broken Wings" in 1912 in New York, where the outstanding writers - immigrants of the Arab world of the 20th century were operating.

The story tells about the shortcomings of the Arab society in the past century, for which he was subjected to sharp criticism in the Arab countries.
