The Azerbaijani State Migration Service deported 749 foreigners illegally residing in the country last month.
The authorities discovered violations committed by 966 foreigners last month. Some 105 people were fined, and allowed to continue living in the country.
The decision was made to deport 623 foreigners within 48 hours and to administratively expel 126 foreigners based on state legislation, the service's PR Department told Trend.
Last month, the service received 3,329 appeals from foreigners and stateless individuals to extend their term of stay in the country, to issue a permanent and temporary residence permit, to grant citizenship, to restore or to renounce citizenship, and to define their citizenship or refugee status, or issue or renew individual work permits.
