Germany's interest in Azerbaijan increases day by day, the country's ambassador to Azerbaijan Herbert Quelle said an event on the German Unity Day.
"German companies in addition to the energy sector are ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan also in other areas," Quelle said.
According to him, there is a dynamic cooperation in all spheres - economy, politics and culture. "Our cooperation is fruitful also in the field of sports, particularly in football," Quelle said.
According to Quelle, Germany was one of the first countries that recognized Azerbaijan's independence. He said, from this moment cooperation between the two countries is gradually being strengthened.
Quelle stressed that Germany appreciates the dialogue with the Azerbaijani side, which is underway within the OSCE, Council of Europe, Eastern Partnership program and in the negotiations on signing the associative agreement with the EU, which are held recently.
