Azerbaijani border guards detained 86 wanted people last month.
The detainees were handed over to the law enforcement bodies, the Azerbaijani State Border Service told Trend.
More than 12 attempts to violate the border were prevented in September. As a result, about 14 people were detained.
Seven of the detained are Azerbaijani citizens, one is Iranian, three are Georgian citizens, one is a Russian citizen, one is a Kyrgyz citizen and one is a Bulgarian citizen.
In September, during testing of the the rules of the regime at coastal areas, about 44 people were detained. Appropriate actions were taken.
Border guards seized 1,256 grams of drugs from illicit trafficking last month.
Moreover, smuggled goods worth 1.7 million manat were revealed in 70 cases.
