Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov has appointed by his decree Mukhammetmirat Shamukhamedov the chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber (SCC).
In the beginning of this month the state leader expressed his dissatisfaction relevant to the work of the previous chairman - Gochkuli Saparliyev and dismissed him from his position due to the mismanagement of duties entrusted on him. These duties were temporarily assigned to the deputy chairman of that agency Gadirgeldi Mushikov.
SCC was established in 2007 and was aimed to "the strengthening of control over the implementation of Turkmen legal acts on issues relevant to the financial and economical activity, ensuring of safety, legitimacy and efficiency of the use and disposal of state property and financial means".
