Baku will host the meting of the Socintern Commission for the CIS, Caucasus and Black Sea region on Oct.11-12, Azerbaijani Social-Democratic Party Chairman Araz Alizade told Trend.
Alizade said representatives of the socialist and social-democratic parties of Europe and the region will take part in the event to discuss the regional conflicts, development of the region and possibilities for development of the social democracy in the region.
Socintern Secretary General Luis Ayala will also visit Baku to attend the meeting, he said.
Earlier media reported that the Armenian party ARF Dashnaksutyun also expressed a desire to participate in the meeting.
Participation of the ARF Dashnaksutyun's delegation in the meeting is not guaranteed yet, the party's press service said, as to provide air-tickets the Tbilisi office of the Azerbaijani Airlines 'AZAL' requires permission for visit from the embassy or the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, PanARMENIAN.Net reported.
However, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tbilisi told Trend that no one appealed with such a request to the embassy.
There were no appeals from the Armenian side with a request to assists the ARF Dashnaksutyun, a representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Trend.
