The international observer mission of the Turkic-speaking countries' Parliamentary Assembly (TurkPA) issued a conclusion on the parliamentary elections held in Kyrgyzstan on Oct.10.

The international observer mission of the Turkic-speaking countries' Parliamentary Assembly (TurkPA) issued a conclusion on the parliamentary elections held in Kyrgyzstan on Oct.10.

The TurkPA mission officially recognized the parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan and expressed confidence that the new Kyrgyz parliament will resume its activities in the TurkPA, the structure reported on Tuesday.

The TurkPA representatives monitored the voting in 40 polling stations.

During the visit, the observers met with the Central Election Commission Chairman, Foreign Minister and First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan.

The TurkPA mission was headed by Azerbaijani Parliamentary Culture Committee Chairman and member of the Azerbaijani delegation to TurkPA Nizami Jafarov.

The delegation also included MPs from Kazakhstan and Turkey, as well as employees of the international secretariat of the Assembly.

The voter turnout in the Kyrgyz parliamentary elections hit 56.5 percent.
