Azerbaijani Human Rights Commissioner Elmira Suleymanova discussed prospects of cooperation with the chairman of the OSCE observation mission for parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan Audrey Glover, the press service of the Ombudsman said on Saturday.

Azerbaijani Human Rights Commissioner Elmira Suleymanova discussed prospects of cooperation with the chairman of the OSCE observation mission for parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan Audrey Glover, the press service of the Ombudsman said on Saturday.
During the meeting, the Ombudsman reported fruitful work in the protection of human rights, including ensuring citizens' voting rights in Azerbaijan. Close cooperation has been established with the Central Election Commission, she said.

According to Suleymanova, joint seminars are held on electoral law, the work continues with the police on legal enlightenment.
Ombudsman and members of the Office will participate in the electoral process as observers, for which they have already been registered.

The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
