The Venice Commission issued a final conclusion on constitutional reform in Georgia Oct.18.
The conclusion, adopted by the Commission at a meeting Oct. 15-16, includes "important improvement" of the new constitutional system in Georgia, which will enter into force after administering the oath by president, to be elected in 2013.
"Despite this, the Commission considers that it will be desirable to further strengthen Parliament's authority. From this point of view, the regulations on government formation and, especially, on declaration of vote of no confidence, as well as issues relating to the powers of Parliament in budgetary matters should be reviewed," the Venice Commission said.
