Iran has today opened the first meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization's (ECO) member countries' border services' heads, Iranian Mehr news agency reported.

Iran has today opened the first meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization's (ECO) member countries' border services' heads, Iranian Mehr news agency reported.

The ECO member-countries' representatives will mull issues of fight against drug smuggling, human trafficking and terrorism at the meeting.

The aim of the meeting is to exchange experience, as well as simplify the activities of the tourism companies arranging tourists' visits and cargo transportation among the ECO member-countries.

The Economic Cooperation Organization was founded in 1985 by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey. The ECO's current members are Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan.
