The Azerbaijani traffic policemen arrested 11 individuals wanted by the police in the first nine months of 2010.
The traffic policemen seized nine Kalashnikov assault rifles, five pistols, two rifles "TOZ", three hunting rifles, five hand grenades, 1,864 cartridges of various calibers and 13 magazines of different kinds of weapons and submitted to the investigation agencies, the Central State Traffic Police Department told trend on Tuesday.
In this period, the traffic policemen seized 44, 560 kilograms of narcotics on 37 cases.
The traffic police department received 122 reports in connection with the hijacking of vehicles, of which 110 cases were disclosed. The percentage of disclosure of these crimes amounts to 90.1.
The department submitted information about 68 wanted vehicles and information on 286 facts on non-conformance of aggregate numbers of car with the numbers provided in the registration documents from its database to the investigative authorities.
