Preservation of ballots for the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan will be ensured by a Special State Security Service (SSSS), the head of the press service of the Central Election Commission Azer Sariyev told Trend.

Preservation of ballots for the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan will be ensured by a Special State Security Service (SSSS), the head of the press service of the Central Election Commission Azer Sariyev told Trend.
According to him, the ballots will be printed under supervision of SSSS.  

"Ballots are public papers. They are printed under the protection of SSSS and officially presented to the district election commissions with the participation of chairmen and secretaries. They are sent to regions under police guard," said Sariyev.

According to him, printing of ballots will begin tomorrow, and according to law, three days before the election, these ballots will be distributed to polling stations.

According to article 99 of the Electoral Code, the ballots shall be approved by the CEC within 35 days before the elections and prepared at least 10 days before the elections. The number of ballot papers can not exceed the number of registered voters more than three percent. In polling stations, the number of ballots should not exceed the number of voters 0.5 percent and should not be less than 90 percent of the voters.

The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
