The South Caucasus is in the center of Austria's foreign policy priorities, Austrian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Sylvia Meyer Kaibic said on Tuesday at the reception on the national holiday of Austria.
Kaibic said the Austrian companies have familiarized with the economic potential of the country for several years and have been actively working here. The main activities of the Austrian companies, she said, are in spheres of energy, infrastructure, agriculture, construction and industrial sector.
Austria's activities in Azerbaijan are beyond the scope of economic cooperation. Thus, the Austrian companies actively cooperate with Azerbaijan in the field of tourism and culture, Kaibic said. The sides also established good relations in the education sector.
