The observation mission of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, headed by deputy chairman of the Russian Federation Council Svetlana Orlova, will arrive in Baku in early November.
The mission will consist of 26 observers, including MPs of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the experts of CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, the Baku branch of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly's International Institute for Monitoring the Development of Civil Democracy, Parliamentary System and Electoral Rights told Trend.
Members of the mission will meet with senior officials of the country, visit Azerbaijan's Central Election Commission and district electoral commissions.
The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
