A total of 991 international observers will monitor the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, Mazahir Panahov, chairman of the Azerbaijani CEC, said at a meeting on Saturday.

A total of 991 international observers will monitor the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, Mazahir Panahov, chairman of the Azerbaijani CEC, said at a meeting on Saturday.

He also said that, more than 3400 observers have been registered at the CEC to monitor the elections throughout the country. 20802 observers registered for the constituencies.

It was noted, that the parliamentary elections will be watched by observers from 42 countries.

Also nominations of four men, which had previously been refused, were registered at the meeting according to the decision of the Court of Appeal.

The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
