Prime Minister of Estonia Andrus Ansip and Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed trade, economic, investment, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian relations between Uzbekistan and Estonia, Uzbek official media outlets report.
Ansip arrived in Uzbekistan with an official visit, which aims at deepening the Estonian-Uzbek economic relations.
Within the visit started Oct.31, he met with the Speaker of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Dilorom Tashmukhamedova, and the Chairperson of Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Ilgizar Sobirov. During the talks the sides exchanged opinion on current affairs and perspectives of development of relations between legislative bodies of Uzbekistan and Estonia. The sides underlined importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation in strengthening legal base of bilateral ties, as well as discussed issues on further boosting cooperation in this direction.
It is expected that today Ansip will meet with Uzbek President Islam Karimov.
