The process to provide identity cards to the Azerbaijani citizens eligible to vote has completed, said the head of the press-service of Interior Ministry, police colonel Sadig Gozalov.

The process to provide identity cards to the Azerbaijani citizens eligible to vote has completed, said the head of the press-service of Interior Ministry, police colonel Sadig Gozalov.

"We can say that process to provide identity cards to the Azerbaijani citizens eligible to vote has already completed. If previously each month an average of 50-60,000 people were provided with identity cards, then, due to the intensified wok, only in September-October in 77 regional centers equipped with most modern equipment, identity cards were provided to 326,000 people," said Gozalov.

According to him, if on voting day the citizens lose or not be able to find their identity card, they can immediately contact with the local office of passport registration. In this case, they will be provided with a new identity card within one hour.

The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
