Political relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia are at a "good level," and economic ties should reach the same standard, Saudi Arabian Deputy Foreign Minister, Prince Khalid bin Saud was quoted as saying today by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The deputy foreign minister met Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov today in Baku.
Noting the need to pay greater attention to the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and to increase mutual investments, the prince stressed the importance of intensifying these activities.
Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani FM expressed his satisfaction with the level of cooperation between the two countries at the meeting - both bilaterally and within international organizations.
The prince's visit to Azerbaijan is held within his tour of the South Caucasus countries.
The deputy minister intends to hold several meetings with officials and discuss future cooperation in various spheres in Baku.
