The Azerbaijani voters actively participate in the e-voting, The Parliament-2010 election monitoring coalition told Trend.

"The e-voting system is active from 08:00 in the morning. Fortunately, the voters also show a great interest in the e-voting. The voters began to vote for their constituencies. The regions are also actively involved in the e-voting. About 1,500 voters have already participated in the e-voting as of 10:00," the organization reported.

The coalition's 16 members, who passed registration at the Central Election Commission (CEC), have familiarized with the schedule of operative observation.

According to the results of the initial observation, the ballot-boxes have been imprinted on in accordance with the law and observers took part in counting of the ballots.

The Parliament-2010 election monitoring coalition's 3,087 observers observe the voting process in Azerbaijan's 80 constituencies.

Azerbaijan has today launched the parliamentary elections at 08:00 local time.

The Azerbaijani CEC reported that 690 candidates will struggle in the elections.

Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005.
