The voter turnout hits more than 50 percent in the Azerbaijani southern regions as of 19:00.

Some 52.3 percent of voters have participated in the voting in the 70th Masalli City Constituency, 53 percent in the 71st Masalli Village Constituency.

Some 42.8 percent of voters have participated in the voting in the 73rd Lankaran City Constituency, while 46.4 percent - the 74th Lankaran Village Constituency.

Some 51.7 percent of voters have participated in the voting in the 76th Lankaran-Astara Constituency, 51.95 percent -the 75th Lankaran-Masalli Constituency.

Mora than 60 percent of voters have participated in the voting in the 78th Lerik Constituency.

The Azerbaijani Central Election Commission (CEC) reported that 690 candidates are running for parliamentary elections.

Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005.
