The Central Election Commission (CEC) considered appeals received by the Commission in connection with the parliamentary elections in the country on Sunday.

Appeals contained claims about the presence of violations during the elections.
Members of the CEC unanimously decided to grant these complaints to the district election commissions.

Voting in parliamentary elections ended at 19:00 local time on Sunday.    

The Azerbaijani CEC reported that 690 candidates are running for the parliamentary elections.

Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005.
