The constituent congress of the new Georgian opposition party elected the former ombudsman of the country Sozar Subari its chairman. Co-chairmen at today's inaugural congress of 2,400 delegates were elected former defense minister who is in political exile in France Irakli Okurashvili and former presidential candidate Levan Gachechiladze.

General secretary of the Party became Coka Guntsadze and political secretary - former Georgian ambassador to Russia Erosi Kitsmarishvili.

According to Subari, the main priorities of the Georgian Party are integration into European institutions, normalization of relations with neighboring countries, internal stability, equality, free and fair elections, respect for private property, stable economic development, social protection of citizens of Georgia.
