The U.S. naval ship "Gonzalez" (DDG-66) will enter Georgian territorial waters today.
A welcoming ceremony will be held at the Batumi Port at 10:00 a.m. local time, the Georgian Border Police told Trend.
During the U.S. warship's visit, Georgian-U.S. training exercises will be held on the ship. Theoretical and practical training will also be held for the Georgian Coast Guard.
A number of cultural and sporting events are scheduled for the U.S. military.
Gonzalez will leave Georgia on Dec. 2.
