The Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan has approved the results of the Nov. 7 parliamentary elections.
The court stated that the Central Election Commission's (CEC) protocol corresponded with both the Constitution and the electoral code, and approved the election results.
The Constitutional Court also ruled that the election results in 46 polling stations were invalid. In general, the results were approved in all districts.
The CEC approved a final protocol on the elections results on Nov. 22. Seventeen of 18 CEC members signed the protocol.
Azerbaijan held the elections on Nov. 7.
The voter turnout hit about 50.14 percent (roughly 2.48 million voters) in Azerbaijan, the CEC's Elections Information Center told Trend.
The CEC reported that 690 candidates were running for the parliamentary elections.
Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005.
