Georgian National Security Council discussed the main directions of the security policy and energy security issues on Tuesday.
The Georgian Presidential Administration told Trend that the National Security Council attended a meeting behind closed doors under President Mikheil Saakashvili's leadership at the Presidential Palace.
The meeting also summed up the past year and reviewed plans for the current year.
Giga Bokeria attended the meeting for the first time as the National Security Council Secretary. The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Nika Gilauri, Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili, Defense Minister Bacho Akhalaia, Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze, State Minister for Reintegration Eka Tkeshelashvili, Georgia's Ambassador to the United States Temur Yakobashvili and the Parliamentary Speaker David Bakradze.
