The European Court of Human Rights rejected a complaint of the chairmen of opposition parties and others on the parliamentary elections, European Court's website reported.

Plenipotentiary Representative of Azerbaijan to the European Human Rights Court, Chingiz Asgarov told Trend that complaints of Isa Gambar, Eldar Namazov, Fuad Mustafayev, Yagub Mammadov, Ilham Huseyin, Mirmahmud Fattayev and Elchin Rzayev have been excluded from the list of the considered cases.

According to Asgarov, the decision on these cases was taken on the analogy of the case "Namat Aliyev v. Azerbaijan".

"The Azerbaijani government, appealing to the European Court, agreed to pay compensation in the amount of nine thousand euro to the applicants on the analogy of the case Namat Aliyev. The Government's decision was accepted, and the European Court rejected the above complaints," Asgarov said.

The European Court on April 8, 2010 revealed the violation of Article 3 of Protocol N. 1 of the European Convention on Human Rights against the Azerbaijani citizen Namat Aliyev and obliged the Azerbaijani Government to pay compensation to the applicant for moral damages.
