The future plans of Azerbaijan and Georgia for 2011 were discussed.

Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov received Foreign Minister of Georgia Grigol Vashadze, who is on a working visit to Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported.

During the meeting, were assessed the results of last year between the two countries and discussed plans for 2011.
The meeting mentioned the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia and successful cooperation in the implementation of energy projects in the region. The sides also discussed the possibility to act with single position on matters of mutual interest in a number of international organizations, particularly the possibility to implement joint projects with the EU.

Noting the importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project for both countries, the sides stressed that these projects are aimed at developing the region.
The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Georgia touched upon the problem of territorial integrity, experienced by both countries, informed each other about the current situation in the negotiating process to resolve conflicts.

Besides, the sides exchanged views on regional, global and other issues of mutual interest.
