New resignations are not excluded in the Azerbaijani opposition Musavat party.
"Musavat party's ranks include tens of thousands of members; however, the resignation of certain individuals from the party is not excluded. Nevertheless, the number of people recently joining the ranks of the Musavat party considerably exceeds the number of those leaving it," Arif Hajili, the head of the Central Executive Office of the Musavat party told Trend today.
He noted that the process of new forces joining the party leadership continues.
"The party experiences the process of renewal and rejuvenation. I think that this process will have much less negative consequences than successes," Hajili added.
Recently, four functionaries of the Azerbaijani opposition Musavat party and 15 members of Sumgayit city organization resigned and left the party.
According to Hajili, the Musavat party's 19 members' leaving will not have serious consequences for the party.
"I think that we will leave this process as stronger, and the party's future activity will be more flexible and dynamic. I'm sure that new individuals joining the ranks of the party, instead of those who left it, the process of strengthening the party leadership, as well as joining of individuals to the Musavat party's leadership who are actively engaged in political activity, will have a positive effect on the party's activity. I believe that by filling the emptiness caused by mentioned individuals' leaving, we will ensure Musavat to continue pursuing a more serious, more flexible and more dynamic activity," he said.
