Azerbaijani opposition Musavat Party will continue to weaken, chairman of the opposition Citizens and Development Party (CDP), Ali Aliyev, told Trend.
"Everybody should understand that some minor success, which the party made in different periods, and the solution of interests of individuals will ultimately not resolve national problems, but will lead to the failure of these forces. Musavat is the most striking example for this," said Aliyev.
Party chairman believes that the reason for such processes at the Musavat Party are associated with the fact that after the 2005 parliamentary elections, the party recognized the legitimacy of parliament.
"Giving up national interests, in 2005 Musavat Party legitimized parliament. Lack of support from the government in 2010 has weakened the party, and this process continues. Everyone should make civic position and understand that the weakening threatens all. Today, it happens with the Musavat party, as happened with the other once," said Aliyev.
Recently, four functionaries of the Azerbaijani opposition Musavat party and 15 members of Sumgayit city organization resigned and left the party.
