Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili is pleased with debates held on Friday in the parliament. "Although problems were hyperbolized, we must remember that we are southern Europeans and it is peculiar to us," Saakashvili said, summing up the debates in the parliament as a result of his annual report.
He admitted that there were critical moments in the address of opposition members, such as Vice-Speaker Paata Davitaia, MP Magda Anikashvili and others. "I understand these peoples' desire to improve the situation, but is this budget enough for us to do it, here's a question, I would also like to grasp the immensity," he said.
Saakashvili noted that the MP Jondi Baghaturia promised him that he would submit a new draft for agricultural development, but he has not received it yet. "There are interesting ideas. But the problems are hyperbolized," he said.
"Every year the level of such political debates increases in Georgia, and I think that the ambassadors presenting here see the whole picture, available in the country, I think they will convey it to those who are not here," Saakashvili said.
