Many world experts are convinced that Turkey is trying to create in Egypt its model of political Islam in the face of the 'Muslim Brotherhood', but the Secretary General of the Islamic community in Lebanon believes that "Brotherhood" seeks to create its own model of political Islam in Egypt.
"The 'Muslim Brotherhood' Organization in Egypt aims to create its own model of democratic political Islam, and Turkey will not be able to intervene in this process," Ibrahim al-Masri told Trend by telephone from Beirut.

Following the resignation of President Mubarak, the Islamic opposition organization "Muslim Brotherhood" announced its decision to create a political party 'Independence and justice party'. In a statement, the 'Muslim Brotherhood' stressed that it has long ago planned to create a party, but it was banned by the government. Supreme leader of the group Mohammed Badia said that the relevant structures in the group have started to develop the final program of the party. He stressed that the door of the party is open to all Egyptians who support its program.
The 'Muslim Brotherhood' Group was founded in 1928 by a village teacher Hasan al-Banna in order to create an Islamic state in Egypt. It has been officially banned since 1954, but during this period, preserved its influence and popularity in the Egyptian society. In recent years, the 'Brotherhood' repeatedly stated the refusal from the radical methods of struggle.
Large-scale anti-governmental protests were held in Egypt. Thousands of people in different cities across the country went to the streets, demanding President Hosni Mubarak's resignation and the dissolution of parliament. The unrests in the country have killed at least 300 people and injuring over 4,000. A one million march passed at Tahrir Square in Cairo to demand the resignation of President Mubarak. As a result, on Friday, Mubarak announced about his resignation. The leadership passed to the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces.
According to Al-Masri, if the 'Muslim Brotherhood' comes to power in Egypt, the country will be a shining example of democracy-building based on Islam.
Feb. 24, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that the U.S. Administration does not oppose the coming to power of the 'Muslim Brotherhood' in Egypt. Answering the question on U.S. attitude towards coming to power of the 'Muslim Brotherhood' in Egypt, Clinton said that the most important is the desire of the Egyptian people and conducting legitimate elections.
'Muslim Brotherhood' will seek to establish a democratic society within Islam, which will be different from Western democracy," said Al-Masri.
He also believes that unlike the regime of political Islam in Turkey, it Egypt this will be the regime based on Islamic law.
