Turkmen, Turkish presidents exchange official invitations

During a telephone conversation this week, Turkmen and Turkish Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Abdullah Gul exchanged formal invitations, Turkmen media reported.

During a telephone conversation this week, Turkmen and Turkish Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Abdullah Gul exchanged formal invitations, Turkmen media reported.

Berdimuhamedov invited the Turkish president to pay an official visit to Turkmenistan.
Gul also invited his Turkmen counterpart to pay an official visit to Turkey.

The invitations were accepted with gratitude.
The date of the visits will be arranged through diplomatic channels.

The presidents congratulated each other and their two nations with the upcoming spring holiday Nowruz. The holiday received international status in 2010.

Earlier, Ankara expressed an interest in delivering Caspian energy resources to Europe via the Caspian Sea and Turkey.

Ashgabat also wants to involve Turkish companies in the construction of the Avaza resort on the Caspian Sea.
