Georgian FM visits Georgian soldiers wounded in Afghanistan in German hospital

After the NATO ministerial in Berlin, the Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze and Georgian representative to NATO Grigol Mgaloblishvili visited Georgian soldiers who were wounded in Afghanistan and are currently being treated at the U.S. military hospital in one of the German cities.

After the NATO ministerial in Berlin, the Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze and Georgian representative to NATO Grigol Mgaloblishvili visited Georgian soldiers who were wounded in Afghanistan and are currently being treated at the U.S. military hospital in one of the German cities.

The wounded soldiers are members of the "Alpha" 32nd Battalion. They were blown up by a homemade mine in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan. They have been taking medical treatment in Germany since February.

As Vashadze said the wounded Georgian soldiers' rehabilitation conditions optimal, and the hospital staff is doing everything possible for their speedy recovery.

As he said, after the soldiers' recovery the Georgian government will ensure the soldiers' return to their homeland as speedily as possible.
