A meeting of the Working Group within the Georgian-American Strategic Partnership Charter discussed economic cooperation. Besides representatives of the U.S. Department of State, the meeting was attended by representatives of financial circles.

As Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergi Kapanadze, who represented Georgia, told journalists, the question was about tranche projects of the Millennium Challenge Fund that the Georgian side should prepare and submit for the approval of the fund's administration.

"Various topics, ranging from trade to energy issues, were discussed. Today's meeting was evidence that a high level partnership between the U.S. and Georgia would not only be a political partnership, but also would move into the economical domain," Kapanadze said.
