A delegation of the U.S. Congress has arrived in Georgia today, the U.S. embassy in Georgia told Trend.

According to the information, a delegation of four congressmen will meet with Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, parliament speaker David Bakradze, as well as other officials and representatives of civil society.

The meetings are planned to be held with a parliamentary minority.
The delegation consists of David Dreier (Republican, California), David Price (Democrat, North Carolina), Susan Davis (Democrat, California) and Brad Miller (Democrat, North Carolina). The head of the delegation David Dreier is a chairman of the committee of the Congress "Partnership for Democracy".

This is a two-party commission. It cooperates with 14 countries, including Georgia, to promote democracy and legal institutions.
