There have been no reported cases of dangerous infectious causatives as having been transported onto the territory of Turkmenistan, Turkmen media outlets reported.
"Similar cases along the country's territory have not been recorded thanks to strict control over food products imported from abroad", the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper reported.
According to information, the country takes measures to prevent the penetration of dangerous infectious causatives onto the territory of Turkmenistan.
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov stressed at a government meeting that "it is necessary ... to strengthen control over work carried out in the field of sanitation and disease prevention".

A dangerous intestinal infection in Europe, which killed nearly 20 people, was initially recorded in the north of Germany. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), such cases were recorded in several European countries.
