Azerbaijan will take advantage of the provisions of the international conventions to prevent the violations of the landscape in the territories occupied by Armenia.
Azerbaijan will join the European Landscape Convention, signed 20 October 2000 in Florence, and this document will be used in the international arena as the basis for the reference, the chairman of the parliamentary committee on agrarian policy Eldar Ibrahimov told journalists.
"The draft law on accession to the European Landscape Convention, submitted by the committee to the plenary session of the Parliament will be the document which will be referred in the PACE, Council of Europe and other international organizations during discussions on preventing the facts of landscape violations by Armenia," Ibrahimov said.
Accession to the international convention will help prevent violations of landscape in the country, said the chairman of the committee.
"Landscape violation adversely affects the crop land and agricultural production," said Ibrahimov.
