The second anti-drug meeting of experts from the Caspian littoral countries was held in the Iranian city of Bandar on June 16-17. Azerbaijan was represented by a delegation headed the Chief of the Narcotics Department of the Interior Ministry, Police Major General
Hazi Aslanov.
Aslanov stressed that the fight against drug abuse and illicit drug use is at the state level. The third state program covering 2007-2012 is being successfully implemented, the Interior Ministry told Trend.
Aslanov said that, in addition to the appropriate state agencies, the representatives of different layers of the society, as well as non-governmental organizations are actively involved.
